Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant
to support our financial and administrative operations. The bookkeeper reports to the Executive Director.
Position Overview
This position combines bookkeeping duties with general office administration. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, professional, and comfortable managing both financial records and student registrations in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial records using
QuickBooks Online
Record and reconcile payments, deposits, and expenses
Generate invoices, receipts, and reports for management and faculty
Assist with
student registration, scheduling, and communication
Provide day-to-day administrative support and respond to inquiries
Coordinate with faculty and management to ensure accurate recordkeeping
Assist with grant and funding documentation as needed
Qualifications
Experience with
QuickBooks Online
(required)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
Experience working with a
non-profit
organization (an asset)
Familiarity with music school software such as
My Music Staff
(an asset)
Hours & Compensation
Part-time position:
10-16 hours per week
Work at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre required
Hourly wage commensurate with experience
