Position Title: AVP, Client Impact
Reports To: Executive Vice President, Individual Insurance and Brand Impact

Term: Permanent Full-Time
Work Arrangements: We are currently working remotely, and we will be moving to a hybrid model when our office renovation is complete (approximately November 2023), coming into the office a minimum of 2 days per week, every other week on designated days.

The AVP, Client Impact will lead through influence across the enterprise, providing direction and measuring the outcomes of Equitable\'s purpose - to be there for our clients for the next 100+ years - protecting today and preparing tomorrow.
The AVP, Client Impact will engage across the enterprise, with all areas of the organization, and the actions, behaviours and decisions transpiring within, thru a client impact lens. This includes the accountability to measure and demonstrate the impact Equitable has on our clients, and to ensure that impact is sustainable.
Financial Services is a highly regulated industry to protect consumers. Ensuring we are compliant is table stakes - leveraging FTC powers our actions and decisions. In addition, within ESG, sustainability lies. The social impact of Equitable\'s relationships with employees, clients, partners, and communities matters a great deal in creating the future Equitable Life. The incumbent will also have ownership of researching, developing, and quarterbacking (including implementation) FTC, as well as Socially driven initiatives within our focus to embrace the \xe2\x80\x9cSocial\xe2\x80\x9d in ESG. To be \xe2\x80\x9cfuture fit\xe2\x80\x9d and sustainable, the impact we have matters today, and into the future.
The incumbent will have direct accountability for proposing ideas, gaining support, setting the policies and practices, and have shared responsibility for implementation across the organization and perhaps most importantly; measure the impact we have.
We are looking for a passionate advocate for having a positive sustainable impact on our clients, who can lead and inspire through influence. This individual will be a well rounded and seasoned financial services professional with a strong understanding of insurance regulations, operations, distribution, compliance and products, someone who can measure the results and demonstrate the impact. Someone who as comfortable speaking with regulators, as they are on a podium presenting Equitable\'s purpose.
What you will bring:
\xc2\xb7 Demonstrated experience of at least 5 years in a similar capacity, building something new, across the organization, that has meaningful impact to clients and our strategic direction.
\xc2\xb7 Proven experience translating principle-based regulations into practical, reasonable, policies and simple executable action plans is required.
\xc2\xb7 Experience and passion around measuring client outcomes across diverse businesses and functional areas.
\xc2\xb7 Substantial depth of understanding the lifecycle of insurance products and services and the impact to operations, distribution, product and marketing, sustainability and compliance across various life insurance lines of business. Ideally experience within a mutual company environment would be preferred.
\xc2\xb7 Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal - able to present ideas to executive level audiences, and large scale presentations with a diverse audience.
\xc2\xb7 Strong indirect leadership capabilities with a strong ability to influence, motivate, lead, and accomplish work objectives and deliverables through a diverse team.
\xc2\xb7 Ability to make recommendations and assist with the direction of important strategic programs - and provide guidance on the immediate and long-term impact.
\xc2\xb7 Proven ability to critically think through situations requiring analytical, interpretative, evaluative and/or constructive thinking.
\xc2\xb7 Demonstrated ability to manage and drive change throughout an organization
\xc2\xb7 Participate with peers within the organization to make decisions and take actions with joint responsibility and accountability for various project streams within the program.
\xc2\xb7 Prioritize and coordinate overlapping project work streams with other strategic initiatives.
\xc2\xb7 Strong organization skills and attention to detail to ensure that implementation occurs efficiently and effectively. The incumbent is motivated for outcomes and delivering value.
\xc2\xb7 Industry awareness and contacts working within similar roles will help.
\xc2\xb7 Attending regulatory or industry forums around the FTC area would be warranted.
