Position Description: To evaluate processes and systems to achieve optimum results in efficiency, quality, and productivity; Provide leadership and act as liaison for manufacturing on projects and communicate progress to Technical Operations management.

Functions, Duties, Tasks:

  • Assist in conducting preliminary studies of engineering projects and development of new equipment specifications.
  • Review plans, maps, specifications and other related work for accuracy and conformance with established engineering practices.
  • Foster and establish collaborative environment between all M&Q departments and other technical experts covering the electrical, HVAC, controls and building support systems.
  • Ensure alignment of activities carried out by 3rd party while providing strong technical expertise to support maintenance and operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all systems and equipment with local laws, Elanco Safety, and quality requirements as well as external agencies.
  • Other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications (education, experience and/or training, required certifications):
  • Minimum of degree in Engineering, preferably industrial or process engineering is required.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years technical and project management experience preferably in biologics manufacturing environment.
  • Professional Engineer designation or ability to become Professional Engineer
  • High attention to detail.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook).
  • Demonstrated life-long learner characteristics.
  • Ability to plan and structure work to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to effectively work with teams.
  • Ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks.
Additional Preferences:
  • Strong project management and communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Lean Sigma and Project Management certification preferred.
  • Solid understanding of SAP MM, MO, and planning modules.
  • Strong PC package tools including MS Project, MS Word, and MS Excel.
Salary Range: The salary range for this position will be approximately $50,000 to $90,000 annually, which will be determined based on education and experience.
