Nous recherchons un(e) Assistant(e) Controleur hautement motive(e) et rigoureux(se) pour soutenir le Directeur Financier dans la supervision des operations financieres de l'organisation. Ce poste convient parfaitement a un(e) professionnel(le) de la finance dote(e) de solides competences en reporting financier et en analyse, d'une bonne comprehension des principes comptables, d'une curiosite(e) pour comprendre et ameliorer les operations commerciales, ainsi que d'une approche proactive pour resoudre les problemes.

Activites principales:



Soutenir le reporting financier

: assister le Directeur financier dans la preparation des etats financiers mensuels, trimestriels et annuels conformement aux normes comptables ASPE.

Assurer la precision des operations comptables

: soutenir le Directeur financier dans la gestion du Grand Livre, des rapprochements de comptes et des ecritures comptables.

Appuyer les processus budgetaires et previsions

(dans un modele d'affaires de fabrication et distribution).

Fournir des analyses de variance pertinentes

: analyser les ecarts mensuels lies a la fabrication et a la distribution pour identifier des opportunites d'efficacite et d'economies de couts.

Favoriser la transparence et la comprehension de la rentabilite des produits et des clients.

Ameliorer les indicateurs de performance des operations comptables

: aider l'equipe a comprendre les facteurs cles et les actions a entreprendre.

Promouvoir les controles internes et soutenir les audits externes.

Contribuer a l'optimisation des processus et au controle du systeme ERP

, y compris la mise en oeuvre et la promotion de nouveaux processus financiers/commerciaux pour ameliorer l'efficacite et le controle.

Preparer des rapports et des modeles financiers ad hoc

pour faciliter la prise de decision.

Diriger ou soutenir des projets financiers

: mener/appuyer des projets speciaux ponctuels visant l'amelioration.

Autres activites ponctuelles en collaboration avec le Directeur Financier.


Competences requises :



Titre de CPA requis. Minimum de 3 ans d'experience dans un poste similaire (environnement de fabrication et de distribution). Solide connaissance des normes comptables ASPE et IFRS. Maitrise des logiciels comptables et des systemes ERP (EPICOR est un atout). Experience en reporting financier, rapprochements et audits externes. Competences avancees en Excel et des outils de modelisation (y compris les plugins Excel/Power BI). Bilingue francais /anglais (environnement commercial a l'echelle internationale)

Position: Assistant Controller



Founded in 1974, Accent Fairchild Group (AFG) is a privately owned manufacturing and distribution company that supplies Canada's largest retailers with products from the world's most respected brands.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Controller to support the Finance Director in overseeing the financial operations of the organization. This role is ideal for a finance professional with strong financial reporting and analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, curiosity to understand & improve the business operations, and a proactive approach to drive problem-solving.

Key activities include:



Support financial reporting

: assist the Finance Director in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with ASPE accounting rules.

Drive accuracy of accounting operations

: support the Finance Director in ensuring accuracy of General Ledger, account reconciliations and journal entries.

Support budgeting and forecasting processes

(within a manufacturing & distribution business model).

Provide insightful variance analysis:

analyze monthly manufacturing and distribution variances to identify efficiency & cost savings opportunities and drive improvements.

Promote transparency and understanding around product and customer profitability.



Improve accounting operations KPIs

: enable team to understand key drivers and actions.

Promote internal controls and provide external audit support

.

Assist in ERP system process optimization & control

including enablement and promotion of new finance/business processes to drive efficiency and control in accounting operations.

Prepare ad hoc reports and financial models:

to enable decision making.

Lead or support finance projects:

lead or support ad hoc special projects to drive improvements.

Other ad hoc activities as aligned with Director of Finance.

Required skills:



CPA designation required.

3 years + in an equivalent finance role (preferably within a manufacturing and distribution business).

Strong knowledge of ASPE and IFRS accounting standards.

Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (EPICOR an advantage).

Experience with financial reporting, reconciliations, and external audit.

Advanced Excel skills and knowledge of data modeling tools (including Excel plugins & Power BI).

Bilingual French/English (business environment on an international scale)
