We take pride in connecting the communities we serve and our team is committed to the highest level of safety, on time performance and customer service Central Mountain Air is currently looking for an Assistant Flight Attendant Manager to join our team. This position reports to the Flight Attendant Manager, with the expectation of succession training to assume the Transport Canada regulatory requirements of the Flight Attendant Manager position when required. The position is full time and the ideal candidate will be able to work evenings, weekends, out of town travel and overnight trips to meet operational requirements. Key Job Responsibilities Supervision/Leadership:

  • Represent the Flight Attendant team and company professionally by upholding policies at all times
  • Provides guidance and direction to ensure our crews can operate safely and smoothly
  • Proactively identify and communicate the key issues within the department to the Flight Attendant Manager
  • Develop and maintain a positive relationships through open communication, focusing on the development of Flight Attendants through coaching and mentorship.
Operational Activities
  • Assist in communicating cabin safety, standards and service to Flight Attendants
  • Review and action operational reports
  • Provide support with Flight Attendant performance and personnel issues
  • Work collaboratively with satellite bases to maintain consistency across bases
  • Assist with Flight Attendant scheduling for monthly and day to day operations
  • Participate in various inflight projects and initiatives
  • Assist with Flight Attendant recruiting and onboarding
  • Adhere to all Safety Management Systems (SMS) and implement corrective actions to eliminate or manage departmental risks
  • Assisting with Transport Canada and Company Document and Manual Revisions
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned.
Training
  • Assist with coordination and planning of Flight Attendant Training in accordance with Transport Canada regulatory requirements to enable the Flight Attendants to perform their duties safely and efficiently
  • Conduct Inflight line assessments
  • Control and maintain training equipment at bases.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years airline experience mandatory, experience in the training environment is preferred
  • Post-secondary education is preferred, however a combination of training and experience will be considered
  • Previous sole charge Flight Attendant experience an asset
  • Must successfully complete Initial Flight Attendant Training and maintain qualification in order to operate as a Flight Attendant
  • Must hold a valid Canadian Passport; or a valid Canadian Permanent Resident card
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an Restricted Airport Identification Card (RAIC)
  • A clear criminal background check and the ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
  • Must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19, and be willing to provide proof of full vaccination
  • Advanced knowledge in PC based applications, Microsoft Project, Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet work schedules, standards, and deadlines in a fast paced and ever-changing environment
  • Proven organization and time management skills
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, verbal, written either one on one or in front of a group or via email. Be a great listener
  • Excellent process analysis and problem-solving skills
  • A proven ability to remain focused, positive, and productive during stressful situation
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
