Our trade brands are Madero, West Four Distribution, Penner Doors & Hardware, Security Building Supplies and WSI Industrial, with facilities in Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Regina, and Winnipeg.As a result of West Four's continued growth, we require an Assistant Controller to oversee our accounting processes and the corporate finance team. This position will report to the Vice President of Finance and Administration and is located at West Four's corporate offices in Saskatoon, SK. • Supervise a team of four, covering the areas of A/R, A/P, General Accounting and Payroll.

• Ensure the efficient, on-time and accurate completion of the monthly accounting cycle

• Prepare monthly financial statements for review with the VP of Finance.

• Identify opportunities to streamline or enhance processes

• Provide support to our managers and staff throughout the organization, but also ensure company policies are adhered to.

• Liaise with External Accountants to prepare annual external financial statements.

Responsibilities:

• Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or very near completion.

• Minimum two years experience supervising accounting staff and at least 4 years of professional experience.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills that meet the professional standard required of this role

• The ability to work proactively with all parts of our organization

• Advanced Excel skills

• Experience in an ERP systems analytics environment is an asset

• Superior organizational and time management skills
