Job Overview

We are seeking a vigilant and professional Armed Security Guard for a static position for a valued client site. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment through vigilant observation and rapid response to incidents. This role requires a calm demeanor, strong conflict management skills, and the ability to enforce safety protocols effectively. Prior experience in law enforcement, military service, or security is highly valued, along with certifications in first aid and CPR. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in safeguarding personnel, property, and assets while ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify potential security breaches or safety hazards. Maintain a visible security presence to deter unauthorized access and ensure safety protocols are followed. Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, including medical situations requiring first aid or CPR. Enforce loss prevention policies by observing and intervening in theft or vandalism attempts. Document incidents accurately through detailed reports and communicate effectively with law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary. Control access points by verifying credentials and maintaining logs of visitors and personnel. Uphold conflict management procedures to de-escalate tense situations professionally and safely.

Qualifications

Valid security license, RPAL and ATC required by local regulations. Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields preferred but not mandatory Excellent conflict management abilities with a calm and assertive demeanor. Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and security best practices. Ability to remain alert during long periods of static positioning while maintaining professionalism at all times. Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and respond swiftly in emergencies. Ability to handle firearms and other security equipment (training will be provided). Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Attention to detail and the ability to follow strict security protocols. Must pass background checks consistent with security industry standards.
