Position Overview

We are looking for

professional and reliable Security Guards

to join our team at a busy commercial building in Chatham, ON. In this role, you will help maintain a safe and secure environment for tenants, staff, and visitors while upholding the highest standards of customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Patrol interior and exterior areas of the property on foot to ensure the safety of all occupants Monitor entrances, exits, and common spaces through both surveillance and guard presence Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies while following established protocols Provide excellent customer service and assist tenants, staff, or visitors when needed Deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized activity through proactive security measures Prepare clear and accurate daily reports and incident documentation Liaise with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary

Qualifications

Valid

Ontario Security Guard License (required)

Valid

First Aid & CPR certification (preferred)

Knowledge of the

Ontario Trespass to Property Act

Understanding of

Citizens' Powers of Arrest (Section 494, Canadian Criminal Code)

Strong Englishcommunication and interpersonal skills Excellent observation, problem-solving, and conflict resolution abilities Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods Professional, reliable, and committed to safety Previous security experience in a commercial, retail, or high-traffic environment is an asset
