Job Description


We are looking for a meticulous Administrative Assistant to join a team in the non-for-profit sector on a contract basis in the GTA. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting daily operations through effective communication, organization, and administrative expertise.   • Respond to incoming calls and emails, ensuring clear and timely communication.
  • Manage schedules and coordinate appointments to optimize team efficiency.
  • Maintain and update records through accurate and efficient data entry.
  • Prepare and edit documents using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Organize and support charity events, ensuring smooth execution and coordination.
  • Monitor and handle email correspondence, prioritizing and escalating as necessary.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining organized filing systems for easy retrieval.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic administrative issues to maintain workflow.
  • Proven experience in an administrative or similar support role.
  • Proven experience with budgeting and forecasting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate complex administrative tasks.
  • Strong Problem-solving skills - able to assess challenges, make data-driven decisions and implement practical solutions that align with organizational goals.
  • Experience in Financial & resource management - basic understanding of budgeting principles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Familiarity with scheduling tools and calendar management.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Previous experience coordinating events or similar activities is an asset.
