About the team:
Are you passionate about Working in a results-oriented team environment? you will be involved in many aspects of providing solutions to client companies' management of risk and capital using reinsurance. Our local actuarial environment spans three business units that are Individual and Group Life & Health (including Living Benefits), Risk Management, and Property & Casualty.
Are you passionate about actuarial data analysis? We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic, goal driven actuarial students to join our exciting team. We currently have openings in the our:

  • US Actuarial Management Life & Health division
  • US Modelling Centre of Excellence team
  • Global US GAAP Targeted Imporvement Project team


About the role:
The roles will support the work of our actuaries in the Life & Health Business Management area in activities such as model construction/validation, experience studies, financial reporting, including GAAP and EVM (Economic Value Management) reporting. Students will have opportunity to work with colleagues within the Swiss Re group located around the globe.

About You
As an Actuarial Intern, your work will have a significant impact in supporting the L&H teams. You will succeed because:

Education and Technical Skills
  • Pursuing an undergrad degree in Bachelor or Master's in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or related fields.
  • Exceptional academic performance (GPA of 3.0 and above)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Completion of 1 or more internships in insurance, sales, or business is an asset
  • Exposure to AXIS, SQL, and VBA are definite assets
  • Completion of 2 or more actuarial exams is preffered
