ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK

The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, expense reports, and payments. This role supports the finance department by maintaining organized financial records, resolving invoice discrepancies, and assisting with month-end closing activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Review, verify, and process vendor invoices and employee expense reports.

Enter invoices into the accounting system accurately and in a timely manner.

Prepare and process scheduled check runs and online bill payments.

Respond to vendor inquiries professionally and promptly.

Research/resolve discrepancies or billing issues.

Calculating and preparing residential security deposit refunds.

Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.

Providing backup and assistance to Property Accountants & Property Managers in various accounting and administrative duties.

Support audits by providing documentation and explanations as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

Highschool Diploma (Post secondary education is preferred), background in accounting/finance.

Experience:

Minimum 1 year of experience in accounts payable role.

Competencies:

Strong attention to detail and high accuracy in data entry. Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills; adept at working collaboratively in a professional manner. Experience with technology and accounting systems within a real estate environment; proficiency with Yardi is preferred. Knowledge and practical application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Excellent time management and organizational abilities. Adaptable and solutions-focused, with a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to recommend and implement process enhancements for greater efficiency.

Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
