is looking for an

Accounting Clerk

to join our team, who will be responsible for the general accounting and administrative duties of Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, and basic Reception duties.


The successful candidate must be highly motivated and have excellent communication skills, prospecting skills, multitasking skills, a professional attitude, and the ability to manage various duties in a fast-paced working environment.

8 am to 4:30 pm



Salary- $23/hr-$27/hr



Responsibilities:



+ Reviewing incoming invoices and verifying that a corresponding purchase order exists, ensuring the PO number is on the invoice. + Performing a "three-way match" to ensure consistency between the purchase order, the goods received receipt, and the vendor invoice before processing payment.
+ Accurately entering invoices without a purchase order and ensuring proper approval before processing payment.
+ Preparing and processing outgoing payments to vendors via various methods, including cheques, EFT, ACH, or wire transfers, after management approval.
+ Reconcile vendor statements using monthly statements and resolve any discrepancies or outstanding issues.
+ Liaise with vendors to resolve incorrect invoices or payment issues and to provide updates on payment status.
+ Maintaining an organized and accurate filing system for all financial documents, both electronic and physical.
+ Reconcile the general ledger accounts to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted.
+ Assisting with month-end activities, such as providing accruals for outstanding invoices.
+ Liaise with other departments on equipment or product purchases, tracking assets, and reconciling inventory usage.
+ Other accounting and administrative assignments as required.

Qualifications:



College Diploma/Bachelor's Degree or Certificate in Accounting/Finance is required. A solid understanding of accounting principles, accounts payable, and collections processes is required. Minimum 2-3 years of experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or in a similar role is required. Working towards the CPA designation is an asset. Previous experience working in manufacturing is an asset. Proficient in using accounting software such as QuickBooks and MS Office, especially Excel. Should be able to work in a multi-currency environment. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
