As an

Accounts Payable Clerk

, you'll play a key role in ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, expense reports, and preparing payments. You'll maintain financial records and help ensure compliance with internal controls and corporate policies.

What You'll Do: Own the Payables Process from Start to Finish!



You'll be the go-to person for all things accounts payable, ensuring our financial obligations are met with accuracy and timeliness. Your core responsibilities will include:

Process and verify vendor invoices

, including matching purchase orders and obtaining approvals in accordance with company policy

Prepare and create pay runs

, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors and employees

Assist with tax-related documentation

, including gathering and organizing payment records for filing

Communicate with suppliers and vendors

to resolve discrepancies or issues with invoices

Work closely with internal departments

to ensure all invoices and payments align with budgeted amounts

Receive, verify, and process incoming invoices

against purchase orders from suppliers and subcontractors

Maintain accurate and organized records

of invoices, payments, and vendor information for auditing and reporting

Enter and update vendor and customer information

in accounting software

Ensure outstanding balances are updated

with credit memos and adjustments

Follow internal controls

to prevent fraud and ensure compliance with financial policies

What You'll Bring: The Experience and Skills to Succeed



To thrive in this role, you'll need:

Post-secondary education

in accounting or a related field

2+ years of experience

in an accounts payable role, ideally in a construction or project-based environment

Knowledge of basic accounting principles

and accounts payable procedures

Proficiency with accounting software

(Explorer Eclipse, QuickBooks, or similar)

Strong attention to detail

and ability to spot numerical discrepancies

Excellent communication skills

to interact with vendors and internal teams

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

, especially Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint

Ability to work independently,

follow established procedures, and manage routine tasks with accuracy

Valid driver's license

and access to a vehicle (preferred, for occasional bank visits)
