Working with the Finance Team and reporting to the Controller, this position is responsible for the administration of general accounting reconciliations, finance reporting, assisting accounts payables, accounts receivables, and the month end closing processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the Brewery Controller with the month end accounting close process within company deadlines.
Maintain general ledger and ensure accurate and timely data entry of various financial transactions.
Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations and variance analysis, as well as preparation of daily journal entries.
Support the processing and reconciliation of sales returns, ensuring accurate adjustments and reporting.
Assist with tax and pricing reconciliations to ensure compliance and consistency across financial systems.
Support payroll administration, including data entry, reporting, and liaising with payroll providers updating reporting and managing the remittance process with the CRA.
Reconciliation of merchandise revenue and inventory counts.
Assist with year-end audit preparation and other ad hoc financial tasks as needed.
Assist with special projects, administrative filing, sales and data reports as well ad hoc requests as required

QUALIFICATIONS
Completion of post-secondary education in finance or related field
3 to 5 years' experience in a general accounting role
1 to 2 years' experience processing payroll and managing remittance processes (UKG experience an asset)
Diligent and efficient with data entry
Ability to work effectively under deadlines organizing multiple projects.
Working knowledge of MS Office programs with Advanced level skill in Excel. Experience with MS Business Central is an asset.
Excellent communicator, with the ability to remain poised and professional in challenging conversations.
Energized through team collaboration and supportive of the team in getting the job done.
Hybrid role - a minimum of 2 days per week onsite; remote work 3 days per week upon completion of training.
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
