Position: Accounting Assistant
Location: Ottawa (Nepean) (on site work environment)
Salary: $60,000 to $65,000 plus group benefits, RRSP, 3 weeks\' vacationAre you ready for your next career move? Join established construction company seeking an Accounting Assistant to support finance and accounting operations, specifically in accounts payable, project accounting, and light administrative tasks. A high-volume environment that offers ample learning opportunities.Key Responsibilities:- Manage accounts payables, process invoices, and enter payables.
- Support payroll with employee hours and expense entries.
- Review vendor monthly statements.
- Support collection calls.
- Comprehend complex issues, enter details.
- Support project files.
- Provide administrative support relating to pertinent certificates and documentation.
- Offer additional support as required.Qualifications:- Post-secondary education in business administration, accounting, or a related field.
- Ability to work in a high-volume environment and handle complex project details.
- Strong proficiency using a variety of ERP programs, MS Project, an asset.
- Detail-oriented, meticulous, and accurate.
- Assume ownership and take direction well.
