This client of Robert Half is seeking an Accounting Assistant, reporting directly into the Accountant/Office Manager. The successful candidate will have proactive energy, be detail-oriented, have a friendly personality and have superb accounting and administrative skills. They will also need to be on-site at the workplace in Creemore, Ontario. If you're an Accounting professional looking to take the next step in your career with a well-run organization, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!Responsibilities for this position include:\xc2\xb7 Managing both accounts payable and accounts receivable, including obtaining all required authorizations for invoice payment\xc2\xb7 Assisting with invoicing, billing, collecting, and record-keeping\xc2\xb7 Preparing journal entries, bank reconciliations, petty cash reconciliations and other reconciliations as required\xc2\xb7 Identifying, troubleshooting, and investigating discrepancies\xc2\xb7 Balancing and posting end of day transactions from the point-of-sale system\xc2\xb7 Posting cash receipts from all sources\xc2\xb7 Assisting in the preparation of the annual audit\xc2\xb7 Preparing ad hoc financial reports\xc2\xb7 Supporting the management of the company's website\xc2\xb7 Organizing and maintaining company files, including employee training records\xc2\xb7 Reconciling credit card accounts and management expenses A college or university degree in Accounting or Finance or working toward a degree would be considered a strong asset A minimum of 2 years of accounting experience Highly analytical and accurate.
