health, dental care, disability and life insurance and paid vacation. We are looking for an Accounting Assistant to join our skilled team.
  • Check, verify and process invoices
  • Sort and enter accounts payable data
  • Analyze discrepancies and unpaid invoices
  • Process purchase invoice and match to supplier\xe2\x80\x99s invoice
  • Ensure suppliers are paid in a timely manner
  • Prepare cheque runs and match outstanding invoices
  • Update tenants records including charges, deposits, payments and adjustments
  • Support the property management team with ledgers, reports and analysis
  • Generate reports
  • Assist in job cost accounting
  • Regularly generate and analyze inventory reports
  • Keep track of the goods and supplies in warehouse
  • Perform filing and general administrative tasks as required
  • Keep accurate records in accordance with company standards
  • Other duties as assigned by department supervisor
  • Degree in accounting
  • Previous experience in performing accounts payable functions (minimum 1 year)
  • Knowledge of standard accounting procedures
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask and work with tight deadlines
  • Enthusiastic, professional and able to handle confidential information
  • Able to take directions well
  • Proficiency in computer skills; experience with Timberline software (Sage 300) would be an asset
