Accounting Assistant

Job Description

:



Handle daily bank receipts and payments, record transactions accurately, and maintain proper documentation, and communicate with banks on related matters. Review and verify employee expense claims and record them accurately in the accounting system. Handle fixed asset accounting, including tracking, depreciation, and additions. Support monthly GST/HST filings and assist in preparing annual tax returns materials and communicate with the CPA firm on tax matters. Coordinate intercompany account reconciliations with affiliated group entities to ensure accuracy and consistency. Prepare and provide financial data to headquarters as required. Assist with ad-hoc finance tasks as required.

Education & Experience & Key skills:



Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. CPA is an asset. Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, PIVOT TABLE, etc.). Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Mandarin is an asset. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. High attention to detail and accuracy, with a strong sense of responsibility and accountability. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines. Self-motivated with a proactive approach to improvements. Strong communication skills and teamwork skills.

Working Hours:



Mon - Fri (On - Site)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
