CASA Mental Health is an established non-profit organization delivering holistic, culturally-safe wrap-around mental health services to Albertans and their families. CASA provides mental health service to the missing middle \xe2\x80\x93 mental health treatment for diagnosed children and youth, in between prevention and promotion in primary and community care, and acute treatment in hospital. CASA\xe2\x80\x99s team of mental health professionals are trauma experts committed to delivering service in collaboration with community partners. This includes assessment and treatment for up to 4,000 children, youth and their families each year, from community outreach settings to intensive treatment programs. About the Role
As the HR Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to experience many different disciplines of the human resources field and participate in multiple different projects. This is an opportunity to contribute to an organization that is in a stage of growth and works towards the betterment of our community. The primary responsibilities will be supporting general human resources functions and assisting the recruitment and onboarding processes. The ideal candidate for this position will be a new human resources professional that is eager to learn and wants to be a contributor to a developing department. If that sounds like you we would like to hear from you! The HR Coordinator is a critical role within the HR team. The HR Coordinator facilitates the daily activities of a variety of HR functions including recruitment, orientation/onboarding, benefits administration and employee & labour relations. As the first point of contact for both internal and external inquires, the HR Coordinator prioritizes issues and ensures inquiries reach the appropriate HR personnel. The HR Coordinator will:

  • Assist with the recruitment process by shortlisting potential candidates, booking interviews, coordinating documentation, completing reference checks etc.
  • Book new employees for orientation and onboarding activities.
  • Triage incoming inquiries and ensures issues are assigned to the appropriate HR team member.
  • Support student placement program
    Participate in department and organizational projects as assigned by the Manager, HR

Multi-site: Yes
Minimum salary: $59,000
Maximum salary: $88,000
Hours per shift: 7.25
Shifts per week: 5
Days off: Saturday and Sunday Qualifications
  • Diploma or degree in human resources or related field, equivalent experience may be considered
  • Previous experience working in an HR related position is an asset
  • Knowledge of human resources processes and best practices
  • Awareness of current and emerging HR trends and best practices
  • Familiarity with Alberta Employment and Labour laws
  • Well developed computer skills including MS office
Conditions of Employment
  • A satisfactory Criminal Records Check. This would be the financial responsibility of the successful candidate.
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or exemption on the basis of a protected legal ground.
