Job Description

We are looking for content producers/writers to contribute articles on a regular basis for our growing social news website. The nature of our articles require minimal writing but the style is casual, personal, and humorous.The articles are listicles that focus on shared stories or factoids. The articles are to be created in Wordpress and you will be responsible for:

  • Headline and description
  • Selecting shared stories (stories that people share on social media) or factoids and putting them into a listicle format
  • Editing shared stories for grammar, clarity, and audience appropriateness (i.e. keeping it family friendly)
  • Subheads and images (basic knowledge of photo editing/resizing is required)
  • Crediting images and stories
  • Introduction and conclusion

You will be paid per article. Note that the word count for these articles are typically 16,000+ however the bulk of this word count is NOT your own writing. This is not a standard article writing job. Most of your time will be spent selecting stories and editing them for grammar, clarity, and audience appropriateness. The You will be assigned the topics and our editor will help you through the learning curve. Your article must be delivered in Wordpress in a publish-ready state.Experience writing these types of articles is a major plus but not necessary. Experience with Wordpress is a must. Basic knowledge of photo editing software (cropping, resizing, saving in web optimized formats, etc.) is a must. Please provide any relevant writing samples.You will be compensated per article at a flat rate.Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, FreelanceSalary: $12.00 per hourExperience:
