Reporting to the Brand & Digital Marketing Manager, the Digital Marketing Specialist is a key role to drive digital marketing and communications programs for our diverse national customer base. We are seeking an enthusiastic, results and detail-oriented Digital Marketing Specialist to join our team. This highly collaborative position will work closely with cross-functional teams (internal and external) to implement marketing initiatives, transforming strategic opportunities into effective and measurable actions to drive sales growth and further position Wolseley as an industry leader. What you will do:
  • Work with creative services, advertising partners, and marketing/communications teams to build and execute integrated marketing plans for acquisition campaigns, branded content, product and ecommerce platform promotions, branch openings, and various initiatives as required, generating on-brand concepts for various marketing vehicles with a digital-first mindset
  • Craft creative briefs and work with external agency partners to execute programs and communicate key messaging for target customer segments, with strong calls to action
  • Oversee the execution of the promotional calendar for social and website managed content and collaborate cross-functionally to plan, deploy and measure marketing initiatives
  • Develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness, engagement, and website traffic by creating content for various social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.) and monitor social media channels, responding to comments and inquiries in a timely manner
  • Manage our email program, creating targeted email campaigns, optimizing lists, driving opt-ins and monitoring email performance metrics
  • Lead the planning and execution of SEM campaigns and paid advertising that drive website traffic, increase conversions and optimize ROI, monitoring campaign performance, analyzing data and adjust strategies to maximize results
  • Work with third-party services on the upload of managed website content, ensuring accuracy, relevance and a seamless user experience.
  • Collaborate with the e-business team to implement website enhancements and optimize performance
  • Deliver and monitor results: Track and report on Key Performance Indicators to evaluate program effectiveness and provide recommendations to maximize ROI on social and digital campaigns and email marketing initiatives
  • Ensure all initiatives are executed with excellence, meeting timelines and budgets
  • Monitor industry trends and share insights for marketing planning
  • Other duties as required
What you will bring:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Marketing, Communications or similar
  • 3-5 years relevant work experience with a focus on digital marketing
  • Agency experience is an asset
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights
  • Proven experience working with industry tools including Google Analytics, Google Advertising, Meta Business Suite, CRM, email marketing, automation platforms (ie: Hubspot)
  • Demonstrated track record in developing effective marketing assets and implementing integrated campaigns
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, basic design principles; ability to strategically direct and collaborate with agency partners
  • Creative problem solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a past-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills; creative problem solving
  • Up-to-date with the latest digital marketing trends and best practices
  • Ability to adapt communications approach based on audience
  • Team player that thrives in fast paced environment, with ability to adapt and align with the strategy
