Position Overview The Social Media & Website Coordinator will use Social Media & Website development platforms to promote Connecting Streams (CS). Collaborating with our various ministry teams to create consistent and engaging content for their specific ministry web pages. About the Role In this role, you will be responsible to achieve the following objectives: Website Design & Development

  • Connecting Streams\xe2\x80\x99 website needs and maintenance are delivered by creating compelling designs, including icons, graphics, and illustrations, that enhance the user experience and convey CS\xe2\x80\x99s messaging
  • Enhance user experience by designing visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces that align with the P2C\'s mission and brand in collaboration with CS and P2C staff to increase ministry participation and awareness.
  • Google analytics data and qualitative feedback is interpreted and SEO is maintained for CS\xe2\x80\x99s website.
  • Overall branding consistency is observed and used across various digital platforms and marketing materials.
Social Media Development
  • Connecting Stream team\xe2\x80\x99s need for social media post creation and scheduling are being met effectively and accurately.
  • Engaged in discussion on social media posts with content that seeks to inspire, resource and inform staff, volunteers, donors and the public with a desire to see deeper digital engagement across all social media platforms.
  • Relevant content is produced for its various audiences, inviting people to participate in the ministry\xe2\x80\x99s mission connecting the themes of the gospel to the issues of the day.
  • Operations Team is consulted to develop and implement a social media strategy to post content and engage followers.
National Operations Team Member
  • Fully engaged on the National Operations team: strategic planning, policy and decision making, training and development content creation for leaders and volunteers as it pertains to operations and marketing and communications.
  • Regular participation in National CS training events, monthly CS gatherings, and P2C chapel times.
Other Responsibilities
  • Active participation in weekly chapel services and other ministry prayer / bible study times.
  • Attendance and participation in the bi-annual International Day of Prayer.
About You
  • You have a deep, growing, intimate relationship with Jesus Christ
  • You have experience in Wordpress and are comfortable with HTML, CSS, JS
  • You have experience and familiarity with social media publishing on Instagram and Facebook (tools like Hootsuite are an asset)
  • You have awareness of UI/UX principles
  • You have experience with graphic design tools ( Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • You have strong command of color theory, image composition, and typography
  • You have strong interpersonal skills including conflict management, problem solving, and serving
  • You posses excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • You have working knowledge of Google Suite or equivalent
  • You have administrative skills, personally organized, good steward of time
  • You have a genuine desire to see people\xe2\x80\x99s lives transformed by Jesus
Education and Experience
  • University degree or equivalent with a focus in Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, or a related field is valuable
  • One to three years of professional design experience and developing creative content preferred
  • Previous experience in ministry or non profit organization in an asset
