Women in Resource Development Corporation (WRDC) is hiring a Research Analyst to join their growing team in making a difference. WRDC helps women throughout Newfoundland and Labrador prepare for and achieve meaningful, positive, long-term careers in trades and technology. Founded in 1997, the organization offers a variety of programs, consultation services, and training services through funding from both the public and private sectors. The Educational Resource Centre (ERC), our charitable organization created in 2002, provides hands-on learning and career exploration opportunities for younger women and girls in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).

What you will be Doing
Reporting to the Director, Research & Evaluation, the Research Analyst will be primarily responsible for collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting quantitative data. The Research Analyst will work collaboratively with both the Research team and Workplace Services team in accordance with established time frames, budgets, and resources to consult on a variety of projects. The successful candidate will be passionate about the mandate of WRDC and the impact that effective data collection, analysis, and reporting can bring to an organization. They will also thrive in a dynamic environment with tight and concurrent deadlines and deliverables. As a client facing position, a sophisticated level of professionalism, confidentiality and discretion is crucial for success in this role.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct research to assess diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives for clients
  • Apply quantitative research methodologies to collect, analyze, and interpret data
  • Manage study data consistent with organizational policies and procedures; ensure quality control and confidentiality
  • Prepare reports detailing research results for clients and recommended next steps
  • Work directly with clients to interpret research findings and provide support as they implement recommended next steps
  • Work collaboratively with other WRDC service areas
  • Other duties as requested

What you will Bring
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Master of Applied Social Psychology or Master of Applied Psychological Science would be considered an asset
  • 3+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a research-focused position
  • A high degree of commitment to accurate data analysis and reporting
  • Excellent written, oral, virtual and electronic communication skills
  • Experience with SPSS an asset but not required
  • Exceptional computer literacy skills, including Microsoft 365
  • Ability to collaborate with people using remote tools
  • High regard for confidentiality, quality, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, collaborate and work effectively in a team environment; flexibility to meet workload demands
  • Related experience in women-centered organizations and/or not-for-profit sector with demonstrated working knowledge of community-based programs, including project development, coordination, and management considered an asset
  • Related experience in women centered organizations is considered an asset
  • Certificate of Conduct and Vulnerable Sector Check is required upon employment and every two years there after

Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000 per annum.
