The Warming Center is seeking a community-minded individual to offer their management expertise in supporting the operation of an overnight warming center in St. Stephen . Building a professional, positive rapport with guests and community partners through empathy will be an essential part of this role.Main Functions:To oversee the start-up and ensure that the Warming Center runs smoothly. To provide leadership to Support Workers through example and guidance; manage the day to day shelter activities, implement policies & procedures, manage and record data as required, maintain confidentiality in all aspects of operations.Duties: Train, supervise, and provide guidance to Support Workers. Liaise with community partners as required. Schedule staff shifts and ensure shifts are always covered. Organize, complete and regular reports to the Operations Committee (NWI). Execute expulsion times for clients according to the offense, as per the guide established. Manage and input data using HIFIS SYSTEM. Identify and manage facility needs for operation. Submit monthly reports to the Operations Committee. Identify staff professional development needs. Other duties as assigned.Working Conditions: Flexibility regarding shift schedule and work hours is required. Breaks must be taken on location, unless staff coverage is available and/or shelter is closed to clients. High risk situations with clients may arise. Some work time may be required outside of regularly scheduled hours.Employment Requirements: Post-secondary education in a related field. 2 years of Management experience. Up to date First Aid Certificate. Proficient in English, both written and oral. Proven leadership skills.Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contractSalary: $41,925.62-$107,760.42 per yearBenefits:
