Warming Centre Support WorkerThe Warming Center is seeking community-minded individuals to join us in offering their expertise in supporting the operation of an overnight warming center in St. Stephen. Building a professional, positive rapport with guests and community partners through empathy will be an essential part of this role.Main Functions:Staff will welcome guests, maintain a clean and safe environment, support connections to other community resources while maintainingconfidentiality in all aspects of operations.Duties: Follow Policies & Procedures as outlined. Monitor all spaces inside of the Warming Center and all security cameras. Administrative and Cleaning duties as required. Ensure residents follow all rules and enforce when needed. Complete all documents as required and enter data into HIFIS. All other tasks assigned as per Management, and Operations Committee. Working Conditions: Flexibility regarding shift schedule and work hours is required. Breaks must be taken on location unless staff coverage is available and/or shelter is closed. High risk situations with clients may arise. Employment Requirements: Post-secondary education in a related field and/or experience in a related field. Up to date First Aid & CPR Certificate. Proficient in English, both written and oral. Computer skills and knowledge of relevant software.
