Our expectations:

Under the direction of the Quality Assurance Supervisor, the Quality Assurance Coordinator (QA) is based at our Milton Ontario Distribution Center and is part of a team responsible for providing support to distribution operations and stores. The QA Coordinator provides support on Store /vendor and Dealer claims, compliance management and Financial PO process. The QA coordinator may support multiple facilities including Hardware, Bulk goods and Lumber. The QA Coordinator may focus on one or more area of responsibility, cross-training in all areas of responsibility of the team will be required.

*Location: Milton Distribution Center (Annex DC)

*Shift: Tuesday to Saturday 3:30 pm to 12:00 am

Your role:

  • Partner with Stores regarding claims for overages/shortages/freight or product return request to the Distribution Center (DC). Work with inventory team to investigate issue. Initiate/communicate adjustment for claim as needed.
  • Provide timely customer service to stores in areas like order management, cancellations or add-ons, and claims
  • Investigate Dealer claims and analyze cost effectiveness of return vs. discount. Manage return process from Dealer to DC.
  • Coordinate product returns from store to DC with transportation and operations
  • Communicate with vendors to resolve receiving issues related to product data. Ensure Vendors are compliant with established policy and communicate with Operations findings and opportunities.
  • Handle liquidation of unsaleable items in the distribution center to maximize salvage value of product
  • Arrange vendor payment for warehouse requests for product/tools and projects.
  • Source vendors and creates accounts for DC projects and provide financials to specific department
  • Manage daily pickups & manifests from our home delivery carriers while troubleshooting any issues that may arise to maximize customer experience
  • Partner with operations, carriers, and the call center to resolve issues with damaged, defective, and refused appliance deliveries
  • Maintain the Store Support line for appliance shipments
  • Other duties as required
The qualifications we are looking for:
  • 2-3 years of previous inventory/quality assurance experience in a warehouse environment
  • Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Experience with a Warehouse Management System (WMS) is required, but experience with Blue Yonder is a strong asset
  • Ability to multitask and handle change well
  • Proven record for complying with safety requirements, and ability to build a culture of safety among peers
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Communicates and listens effectively
  • Ability to build rapport and trust with others
