Our Client, one of North America\'s leading energy infrastructure companies with operations in natural gas, oil and power industries throughout Canada, the United States, and Mexico has an immediate need for a Warehouse Materials Coordinator This is a contract position for one (1) year located in Calgary, Alberta.

Description

The Warehouse Materials Coordinator in this role will support the Material Coordinator team, and must have an understanding of material requirements for Facilities and Pipeline Integrity Projects - new pipeline projects compression and pipeline maintenance , reliability asset improvement projects such as such as valves, risers, collars. If materials within the company source from inventory and surplus - not available internally then work with purchasing group to ensure project has components

Accountabilities

  • Create SAP reservation and requisition for project materials, complete Goods Receipt when required and manage project surplus materials
  • Monitor and assist with materials expediting of critical components
  • Work with project disciplines (Engineering, Purchasing, Expediting, Logistics, Warehousing, Fabrication, and Construction) to update Material Status Report with quantities, timelines, and material whereabouts
  • Help to locate documents and records, including Material Test Records (MTRs), associated with project materials which are required in support of construction and commissioning activities
  • Resolve material discrepancies (e.g., quantities, quality, or supporting documentation) within each functional group
  • Manage multiple high priority projects and competing priorities
  • Review Technical Drawings with a high level of attention to detail
Required
  • 4-6 years of materials coordinating experience with energy industry projects - pipeline and facilities
  • Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures
  • Understanding of ability to learn company product codes and terminology.
  • Experience with pulling material requirements for projects from technical drawings
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Good computer skills (Outlook, Excel)
  • Experience with SAP
  • Very good organization, time management and planning skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Technologist Engineering Background preferred (CT)
  • Or supply chain materials purchasing background.
  • Very good English communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience with collaboration and stakeholder management with colleagues
