Job Summary:



As a Warehouse Operations Zone Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities within a designated zone or area of the warehouse. Your role involves supervising warehouse associates, coordinating workflow, and ensuring that efficient tasks are carried out efficiently, safety standards are met, and all inventory is properly managed. This position requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to meeting operational goals.

Responsibilities:



Team Supervision:

Supervise a team of warehouse associates within a designated zone or area of the warehouse.

Provide leadership, guidance, and performance feedback to ensure the team's success.

Task Delegation: Assign daily tasks to warehouse employees in the zone, including receiving inventory, sorting products, picking and packing orders, or preparing shipments.

Workflow Coordination:

Coordinate workflow within the designated zone to ensure timely and efficient processing of products

Assign tasks to warehouse associates and monitor progress to meet operational targets.

Communicate regularly with the Warehouse Coordinator to report on zone performance, issues with inventory or staffing, and any other operational concerns.

Keep track of daily activities within the zone, including inventory levels, order completion rates, and any incidents or problems. Report any discrepancies or inefficiencies to the Warehouse Coordinator.

Inventory Management:

Oversee inventory control processes within the zone, including receiving, storage, and counting.

Ensure all items are clean and in rentable condition

Ensure all items are properly logged, stored in the correct location, and easy to locate when needed.

Ensure accurate inventory records and reconcile discrepancies as needed.

Order Fulfillment:

Coordinate order picking, packing, and shipping activities within the zone when required.

Monitor order accuracy and ensure timely fulfillment to meet customer requirements.

Address any operational issues that arise in the zone, such as damaged products, incorrect inventory, or delays in fulfilling orders. Resolve issues quickly to prevent delays.

Customer Service:

Know how to read and complete a work order for customer pickups and returns.

Ensure quantities are correct both upon pickup and delivery and checked off on work order.

Record any damage or shortages correctly

Quality Control:

Conduct regular inspections of products within the zone to ensure quality and accuracy.

Ensure that the items being prepared for shipment are in good condition and meet quality standards before they leave the warehouse.

Address any quality issues or discrepancies promptly and effectively.

Safety Compliance:

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the zone.

Monitor equipment and machinery usage, enforce proper lifting techniques, and ensure employees are using the correct personal protective equipment (PPE).

Promote a culture of safety awareness among warehouse associates and enforce safety protocols.

Qualifications:



High school diploma or equivalent. Additional education or training in warehouse management or logistics is advantageous.

Previous experience in warehouse operations, with a minimum of 1 years in a supervisory role.

A valid class 5 driver's license

Forklift Experience/ Certification (preferred)

Ability to lift heavy objects (50+ lbs.)

Strong knowledge of warehouse processes and procedures.

Knowledge of the event industry (especially inflatables and tents) considered an asset.

Excellent leadership and team-building skills.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Good communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to effectively communicate with team members, supervisors, and other departments.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve operational issues in a timely manner.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$24.00 per hour
