Responsibilities:
Operations Management
+ Leads daily operations including Pick/Pack, Value-Added Services (VAS), receiving, and outbound order preparation within a 3PL environment.
+ Provides direct, hands-on supervision to hourly team members--developing new or less experienced employees and fostering a culture of accountability and performance.
+ Oversees all inbound and outbound shipments to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to customer standards.
+ Reviews shift goals and productivity targets, reallocating labor and resources in real-time to meet operational needs.
+ Submits detailed end-of-shift reports and partners with leadership on process improvements.
+ Collaborates with client contacts to ensure service expectations are met and exceeded.
+ Ensures all equipment is used and maintained efficiently and safely.
Employee Relations/Development
+ Leads engaging pre-shift meetings to set clear expectations and provide updates.
+ Plays an active role in coaching and upskilling team members, especially those new to warehouse roles.
+ Drives a positive team culture through consistent feedback, recognition, and performance management.
+ Works closely with HR and senior leaders to support recruitment, onboarding, and disciplinary actions when needed.
+ Develops and maintains fair, consistent HR practices and ensures timekeeping accuracy.
+ Travels occasionally to other facilities for training or collaboration as needed.
Safety and Security
Maintains a clean, safe, and organized warehouse--ensuring all employees follow OSHA and company safety protocols.
Coaches the team on daily safety checklists and enforces accountability for all compliance requirements.
Leads investigations and follow-up on any safety incidents or near-misses.
Qualifications: High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred.
1-5 years of direct leadership experience in a warehouse, distribution, or 3PL environment.
Strong background in managing productivity, coaching green or developing teams, and meeting KPIs.
Client-facing experience with a service-first mindset.
Proficient with WMS (Manhattan preferred), Microsoft Office, and process improvement tools like Lean or Six Sigma.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and lead through change.
Must live within commuting distance of the facility--
this location is not accessible by public transit.
Comfortable standing/walking for long shifts, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in a warehouse setting with variable temperatures and noise.
