The WarehouseOperations Manager (Distribution / Sales) will report directly to the Director, Operations, and is responsible for management of cost-effective operations including warehouse & distribution; facilities and customer service/sales support aspects in the branch environment.Duties & Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of the branch\xe2\x80\x99s physical layout and facilities.
Control branch inventory as per applicable Company procedures.
Control all physical product into and out of the warehouse including receiving, shipping, stock replenishment, recharge, damaged products and used batteries.
Oversee effective sales and service support, which includes partnering with the Sales Team to resolve customer issues and taking escalated and / or more complex customer concerns
Develop and maintain the team by providing effective communication, training, coaching, and conducting effective performance evaluations
Ensure a safe and efficient warehouse environment at all times.
Track and provide appropriate management reporting (key performance indicators).
Experience, Skills & Competencies:
Post-secondary education in a business or customer service-related discipline.
3 to 6 years related experience preferably in a warehouse or distribution setting.
3 to 5 years management experience.
Solid knowledge of logistics and distribution.
Proven ability to manage, lead, and provide an environment within which employees are self-motivated to meet performance standards.
Customer focused with the ability to coach others for exceptional customer service orientation.
Ability to troubleshoot, identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Ability to work well under pressure with deadlines and changing priorities.
Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Knowledge of Windows Office suite (Word, Excel)
Knowledge of automotive battery applications and specifications definite asset
Experience with SAP an asset
