detail-oriented and efficient Warehouse and Order Processing Coordinator
to join our team. This role is key to ensuring smooth warehouse operations, accurate order fulfillment, and reliable logistics support. You will oversee order processing, maintain inventory accuracy, and coordinate the flow of goods within the warehouse. The ideal candidate will have hands-on warehouse experience, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to both coordinate daily operations and actively support the warehouse team when needed.
Key Responsibilities
Order Processing:
Accurately review, process, and fulfill incoming customer orders.
Inventory Management:
Monitor stock levels, track movements, and coordinate replenishments to avoid shortages or overstock.
Receiving & Storage:
Receive, inspect, and properly store incoming shipments, reporting any damaged or missing items.
Picking & Packing:
Ensure orders are picked, packed, and prepared for shipment with accuracy and efficiency.
Shipping Coordination:
Liaise with carriers and third-party logistics providers to schedule shipments, track deliveries, and resolve issues.
Product Knowledge:
Quickly learn and familiarize yourself with product names and categories to ensure order accuracy.
Equipment Operation:
Safely operate warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, etc.) as needed.
Quality Control:
Inspect products before packing to maintain quality standards and prevent errors.
Inventory Reporting:
Maintain accurate inventory, and shipment records; assist with cycle counts and stock audits.
Safety & Compliance:
Promote a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in line with company policies and safety regulations.
Collaboration:
Communicate effectively with logistics department to support overall supply chain efficiency.
Process Improvement:
Identify and implement opportunities to streamline warehouse and order processing operations.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience:
Minimum 2 years in warehouse operations, order processing, or logistics coordination.
Forklift Operation:
Must hold a valid forklift license with a minimum of 2 years' forklift driving experience.
Language:
Must be fluent in English (both written and verbal).
Skills:
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Technical Proficiency:
Experience with warehouse/order management systems (WMS/OMS) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
Physical Ability:
Capable of lifting up to 55 lbs, standing for extended periods, and performing physical warehouse tasks.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in logistics, business, or related fields is an asset.
Residency:
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada (minimum PR status); must be able to work full-time hours.
