Robert Half is currently working with a client seeking a Director of Finance. As part of the management team, the director of finance must have strong leadership, management, technology, analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills. If you are an experienced VP/Director of Finance looking for a challenging role at an established company, this may be the role for you.What you get to do every day- Supervise financial planning and budget management functions- Maintains and reviews budgeting and forecasting models- Prepare financial analysis for contract negotiations and product investment decisions- Establish short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures- Propose benchmarks for analyzing financial and operating performance- Manage the preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts- Perform analysis on operating results, comparing against budget- Implement and maintain an organizational structure to effectively accomplish the departments goals and objectives- Supervise all operations of the finance and accounting department- Direct all financial reporting preparation- Direct risk and insurance management- Manage the hiring, training, and retention of finance staff- Create and manage five-year business plans along with department managers- Comply with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements
- 10+ years of accounting and finance experience- Prior experience with finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles- Experience with multiple accounting and financial reporting systems- Bachelor\'s degree in finance or accounting- MBA or CPA is preferred- Experience with higher level functionality in Microsoft Excel- High analytical and extremely detailedRobert Half is the world\'s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
