VP Sales, Bayer Crop Science Canada
This senior leadership role is responsible for the Canadian Crop Science Sales Organization, with full P&L accountability for the branded and licensing businesses in Canada. The VP of Sales drives business growth, commercial excellence, and organizational change in a highly competitive market environment and complex business landscape. This role also develops and implements transformational change to position the Canadian organization for success tied to the overall Bayer strategy.

What you will do:
  • Responsible for Key Accounts, Seed Growth, InterAg and Sales Effectiveness teams, covering our integrated portfolio of Seed & Trait, Crop Protection, and Climate FieldView offerings
  • Drive differentiated sales approach fully consistent with country, marketing, and product management to allocate human and financial resources accordingly
  • Build and shape sales organization to exceed relevant benchmarks in customer satisfaction, making it the place to work for high-performing sales people
  • Provide superior people leadership and set overall direction to direct reports and the broader organization of approximately >40 employees
  • Develop capabilities of sales organization according to requirements of future business strategies, benchmarks, and customer satisfaction expectations
  • Coach, guide and develop next level leadership
  • Ensure delivery of forecasted results according to sales plan utilizing superior sales planning, forecasting, and monitoring mechanisms and KPIs, and taking timely and matching corrective actions in case of deviations from plan
  • Closely follow up with corresponding functions and respond to opportunities, issues, market changes including competitor moves, adjusting tactics as required

Who you are:
  • University degree, with preference for advanced degree in business or agriculture
  • Outstanding track record in senior leadership roles leading large organizations
  • Extensive operational experience in customer-facing positions
  • Deep agricultural knowledge and understanding of local market environment
  • Outstanding customer focus/intimacy with strategic/digital mindset
  • Global experience
  • Profound collaboration skills and ability to inspire large organization
