About the Opportunity
Strategic
  • Act as steward of the company\xe2\x80\x99s financial assets and resources, effectively identifying and managing risks and optimizing opportunities.
  • Advise the CEO and other key members of senior management on financial planning budgeting, cash flow, investment priorities, and policy matters, while presenting options and recommendations as appropriate.
  • Contribute to the development of strategic goals and objectives as well as the overall management of the organization.
  • Represent the organization externally, as necessary, particularly in banking and lease negotiations.
  • Build financial literacy across the senior leadership team and key operational roles.
Operational
  • Oversee, direct and organize the work of the finance and accounting team.
  • Oversee cost accounting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, and revenue recognition activities.
  • Establish and maintain an appropriate system of policies, financial controls, accounting standards, and procedures.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute the annual budget process.
  • Set and track financial KPIs.
  • Prepare and organize financial statements for record and review.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual financial budgets, reports, and forecasts.
  • Perform internal audits and assist with preparation for external audits.
  • Define, benchmark, and implement operational finance best practices.
  • Support development and maintenance of organizational Chart of Authorization
  • Ensure compliance with accounting and tax regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Oversee and direct the selection, implementation, and maintenance of an appropriate ERP system.
  • Recruit, develop, and manage departmental resources.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with operational leadership.
About You
  • CPA, CA designation
  • 15 years of experience in finance and accounting and five of them in a managerial role.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, legislation, and GAAP
  • Demonstrated experience with cash management and risk assessment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of general ledger AP and AR functions
  • Proficient computer skills and experience with ERP and other finance software
  • Advanced financial analysis and reporting abilities
