Canada Goose is a renowned luxury brand. With a strong presence in the global market, we are seeking a dynamic and visionary Vice President of Real Estate to lead the company\'s global retail expansion. You will play a pivotal role in identifying and securing strategic retail locations worldwide, ensuring the brand\'s continued growth and success in the competitive retail landscape. You will reports to the Global Head of Stores and will oversee and be responsible for all new leases, site selection, lease renewals, rent reduction negotiations, and relationship management with all external landlords and brokers.

What You\'ll Do:

  • Retail Expansion Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive global retail expansion strategy that aligns with Canada Goose\'s brand vision and market penetration goals. Analyze market trends, customer demographics, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities for growth.
  • Location Selection: Lead the process of site selection for new retail stores worldwide. Conduct thorough market research and feasibility studies to identify potential locations. Evaluate lease terms, demographic data, foot traffic, and other relevant factors to make data-driven decisions.
  • Lease Negotiation and Management: Oversee lease negotiations for all new retail locations, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the company. Collaborate with legal and finance teams to manage lease agreements and optimize lease renewal strategies.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage the real estate expansion budget, providing regular updates to senior management and aligning expenditures with projected revenue. Implement cost-effective strategies to optimize store performance and profitability.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with various internal departments, including Retail Operations, Design & Construction, Legal, and Finance, to ensure seamless execution of retail expansion plans and the integration of new stores into the existing retail network, while updating and keeping current fleet to elevating standards.
  • Partnership Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords, real estate developers, brokers, and other key partners to access prime retail locations and capitalize on emerging market opportunities.
  • Risk Management: Assess potential risks associated with new store openings, market changes, and lease agreements. Develop mitigation strategies to protect the company\'s interests and assets.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor, coach, and manage a team of real estate professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. Set clear goals, provide feedback, and support the team in achieving objectives.
Let\'s Talk About You:
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role in the real-estate industry
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Comfort working with an entrepreneurial mindset in collaboration with diverse global teams in a fast paced, complex environment
  • Strong influencer that displays excellent communication skills, oral and written
  • Thorough knowledge of the local approval processes and policies, planning and urban design;
  • Highly driven, committed, organized and flexible with the ability to meet challenging deadlines while prioritizing multiple tasks and projects;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team orientation with flexibility and resilience in dealing with a variety of different personalities;
  • Consistently exhibits Canada Goose\'s Values, taking pride in being innovative, respectful, passionate, accountable, and entrepreneurial while exhibiting personal commitment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders at the same time and deliver to completion
  • Previous global experience managing cross-functional teams and working with remote offices
  • Proven track record of success in leading global retail expansion initiatives, preferably within the luxury retail industry
  • Extensive experience in real estate site selection, lease negotiations, and property management
  • Strong understanding of international real estate markets, retail industry trends, and consumer behavior
  • Outstanding negotiation, communication, and interpersonal abilities
