Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Administration or Commerce degree, a CPA, (CA, CMA, CGA) and 10 years of related experience.
• Excellent communication, problem solving, analytical and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment under tight deadlines
• Detail oriented and strong organizational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Prior experience in Yardi would be an asset

The opportunity within the Alternative Investments Finance team is available to be worked in our Toronto office or Regina, Saskatchewan office.
Reporting to the Vice President and Director, Alternative Investments this position will be responsible for valuation and pricing activities of the Alternative group of funds, with a focus on Global Real Estate and Infrastructure. In addition, the position will provide oversight of trading, audit, and corporate governance of the global real estate an infrastructure funds, including underlying investment vehicles.

• Validation of fund Net Asset Values including valuation and pricing processes
• Performance validation and analysis
• Oversight of 3rd party asset managers and service providers, providing direction on financial reporting and other requirements of underlying investment vehicles
• Engage with internal and external partners to oversee the financial statement preparation for the Alternative funds in preparation for the annual audits
• Manage the external audit process for the funds
• Review and approval of investment funding requests and return of capital transactions
• Support ad hoc project work or other activities as required for the Alternative Investment, Client Portfolio Management and Product teams, including manager diligence, investor diligence, and new product launches.

Working with a diverse team of dedicated investment professionals this position interacts with the team on the deal decision making process from Mortgages, Real Estate and infrastructure investments.
