The Institutional Consultant Relations Team at TD Asset Management performs an influential role in maintaining and growing the firm\xe2\x80\x99s share of the institutional investment market. We are an entrepreneurial and specialized team that is highly focused on driving TDAM\xe2\x80\x99s institutional business forward through the consultant channel. As Vice President, Consultant Relations, you will work closely with the Head of Global Consultant Relations and the other members of the Consultant Relations Team to manage TDAM\xe2\x80\x99s relationships with the institutional consultant community. Your success will be measured by your contribution to enhancing the quality, breadth and effectiveness of TDAM\xe2\x80\x99s consultant relationships. Key responsibilities include the following:

• Engage with the relevant Client Portfolio Management (\xe2\x80\x98CPM\xe2\x80\x99) and Portfolio Management (\xe2\x80\x98PM\xe2\x80\x99) Groups to analyze, classify and communicate the key features, competitive strengths and differentiators of each of TDAM\xe2\x80\x99s investment strategies.
• Work with the CPM and PM Groups to strategize, prepare for and attend consultant manager research meetings with the objective of maintaining and reinforcing existing positive consultant ratings and gaining new positive ratings.
• Collaborate with the Presentations, Marketing, RFP and Database Completion teams to ensure that our desired messaging is effectively and consistently incorporated into all of our materials \xe2\x80\x93 presentations, supporting papers, RFP responses, fund brochures, etc.
• Help to develop and maintain the strategic consultant engagement framework and communicate this to internal partners.
• Participate in the development of materials and thought leadership activities to position our investment strategies strongly within the consultant market and to reinforce TDAM\xe2\x80\x99s positive brand perception.
• Respond to daily, ad hoc consultant queries and information requests.
• Communicate effectively with consultants to help build their understanding of TDAM\xe2\x80\x99s capabilities.
• Gather market intelligence and disseminate this internally.
• Help to maintain solid and productive working relationships with the Relationship Management, Business Development, PM/Investment, CPM, Investment Support and Client Service teams.

This is an intellectually challenging, fast paced, time sensitive, stimulating team environment. The successful candidate will require:

• At least 7 years of experience in an investment consulting, institutional sales, institutional marketing or relationship management environment.
• A CFA and/or an Actuarial qualification.
• A good understanding of how the consultant market functions and the services which consultants provide to the institutional client base.
• TDAM has a broad product suite, therefore the role requires a solid working knowledge of a range of asset classes \xe2\x80\x93 both traditional and Alternative \xe2\x80\x93 and the roles these play in institutional portfolios.
• An \xe2\x80\x98ownership\xe2\x80\x99 mindset and the ability to proactively identify issues, collaborate on resolutions and implement innovative solutions.
• Ability to work across teams and manage through influence. We promote a team approach rather than an individual approach.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple simultaneous assignments to successful implementation.
• Excellent communication skills \xe2\x80\x93 both verbal and written \xe2\x80\x93 and the ability to tailor the messaging approach to the specific needs of the relevant audience.
