Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate person to join our team. In this dual-role, you will support veterinarians and veterinary technicians in providing high-quality care to animals and their owners. Your responsibilities will include assisting with examinations, performing laboratory tests, and ensuring a clean and safe environment for both patients and staff. You'll also help with creating appointments, answering phones, and managing payment processing. This position will be full time (30+ hours per week), with a mix of mostly evening and Saturday shifts.

Primary Responsibilities

- Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of the clinic

- Performing janitorial & clerical duties

- Ensuring laundry is processed, and common areas are stocked and well maintained.

- Receptionist duties, including answering phones, payment processing, booking appointments, and supporting all other areas of the clinic

Additional Responsibilities

- Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures.

- Prepare animals for surgery and assist with post-operative care.

- Perform laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis.

- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.

- Administer medications as directed by the veterinarian.

- Ensure cleanliness of the clinic, including examination rooms, surgical areas, and waiting areas.

- Provide compassionate care to animals and support pet owners with their questions and concerns.

- Help manage inventory of medical supplies and equipment.

Requirements

- 1 Year experience in a veterinary environment

- Knowledge of laboratory procedures is a plus.

- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.

- Compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners.

- Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including lifting animals when necessary.

- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
