Welcome to Brant Paws Veterinary Hospital!

Brant Paws is a new veterinary clinic opened in Burlington, ON, at the end of March 2025. We are dedicated to providing high-quality care for pets while fostering strong relationships with our clients. Our clinic values education and clear communication, and we are looking for a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Technician to join us in building this new clinic from the ground up.

As a key member of our veterinary team, you will play an integral role in patient care and client communication. This position requires a self-motivated individual who can work independently and is comfortable being the sole technician on shift. The role offers a great opportunity for those looking to work closely with both doctors and be part of a team as the clinic continues to expand.

Key Responsibilities

Provide technical support during patient exams, treatments, and procedures, including surgeries. Administer anesthesia, monitor vital signs, and perform lab work. Educate clients on preventative care and treatment plans, ensuring they fully understand the health needs of their pets. Manage your duties independently while working alongside the doctors in a small team environment. Assist with reception and administrative tasks as needed (there may be overlap between technician and reception/admin duties). Experience with AVImark is beneficial but not essential.

Requirements

Must be a graduated Veterinary Technician in Ontario. 2-3 years of in clinic experience, preferred. Being a Registered Technician is a plus but not a requirement. Comfort working independently and collaboratively with the doctors. Strong customer service skills and a passion for educating pet owners. Physical ability to lift and restrain animals when necessary. Ability to multitask and manage a dynamic workload.

Schedule:

Monday to Fridays primarily, weekends only as needed. 8 hour shifts.

Compensation:

$22-26 hourly, based on experience.
