We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and detail-oriented
Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist
to join our veterinary team. This dual-role position requires a candidate who is comfortable supporting both front desk administrative duties and clinical care for patients. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for clients and their pets and will also assist veterinarians and technicians during exams and treatments.
Job Responsibilities (Veterinary assistant):
Reception Duties (Front Desk):
Greet clients and pets warmly upon arrival
Veterinary Assistant Duties (Back Office):
Assist veterinarians and technicians with exams, treatments, and procedures
Restrain animals safely and compassionately during exams and procedures
Prepare exam rooms and equipment
Clean and sterilize instruments and work areas
Feed, bathe, and exercise animals when needed
Monitor animal recovery post-surgery or procedures
Administer medications under supervision
Maintain inventory of supplies and restock as needed
Answer multi-line phone system and respond to inquiries
Schedule and confirm appointments
Maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed
Process payments and manage daily financial transactions
Provide clients with information regarding services, estimates, medications, and pet care
Maintain a clean and welcoming reception area

Experience:
Customer Service: 1 year (preferred)
Veterinary Assistant: 2 years (required)
Veterinary Receptionist: 2 years (required)
