Vehicle Appraiser
Job Description
CARSTAR Cambridge is currently looking to hire an experienced Appraiser/Estimator to join our auto body facility team.
CARSTAR Cambridge is an equal opportunity employer. A benefits package will be available to the successful candidate. Wages are based on experience and attitude but overall will be within the salary range of $45,000 - $65,000.
The responsibilities of the Appraiser / Estimator focus on two main areas but are not limited to: accurate damage analysis and customer service. The Appraiser / Estimator is responsible for:
Assessing vehicle damage and creating an initial repair order estimate
Maintaining regular contact with the appropriate insurance company to advise on vehicle repair status
Serving as the primary point of contact for customers during and after the repair by providing information, repair updates, and a high level of service throughout the process
Preparation and closure of files
Pre/post scans of vehicles and ADAS as needed
The Appraiser will need the following experience/background to be successful:
Experience with Mitchell Connect and Audatex estimating software
Knowledge of Insurance "DRP" practices / guidelines
Specialized Training
:ICAR a plus
WHMIS
Skills & Abilities Required:
Work independently without close supervision
Highly organized, analytical and motivated; ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments
Full-Time Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm Position
Must have a driver's license and require drivers abstract
