Reporting to the Manager, Cash & Banking the Treasury Clerk is primarily responsible for the accurate and timely processing of all wire transfers in the web-based banking systems for the corporate head office and other business divisions. Duties also include administration of letters of credit and the confirmation of all financial transactions. This will be a 9-month temporary position.

Responsibilities

Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures

Update and keep the bank wire transfer systems efficient, including the request, preparation and maintenance of templates and daily wire reporting

Support daily reconciliation of all the Canadian and USD bank accounts in Teck\'s Treasury Management System (Integrity) and following up with accounting, sites and operations to resolve any discrepancies

Support the integration of emailed cash forecasts from various sites and operations into Integrity

Assist in the administration of Letters of Credit including preparation, amendments, reporting and related fees

Qualifications

1 - 3 years of relevant experience in a finance environment

Post secondary education with finance orientation is preferred

Working towards the CPA designation considered an asset

Experience in Accounts Payable considered an asset

Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Word and Outlook and advanced skills in Excel

Outstanding organization skills and ability to prioritize work to meet tight deadlines

Effective interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills

Strong attention to detail

Able to interact well in a team environment

Salary Range: $56,000 - $69,000

The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate\'s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
