Transportation Technologist

Job Description

We are currently searching for a Transportation Technologist in our Calgary office.
The successful candidate will work with engineers and other technologists to develop and prepare drawings used in design services for a variety of public and private sector clients with a focus on highways, roads, and transportation-related infrastructure. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and develop your skills in many areas.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Utilizing CAD software to create and prepare technical drawings for our bridge, roadway and aviation projects that best represent project requirements from concept to
detailed design to record.
  • Modifying and revising existing drawings based on feedback from engineers, project managers or other team members.
  • Working closely with colleagues (and under the guidance of more advanced team members) to understand and ensure compliance of drafting standards.
  • Preparing and exporting drawings and models in various formats for project submissions.
  • Organizing and managing a variety of CAD files, ensuring that drawings and models are accessible to other team members.
Job Requirements
What you will bring:
  • An Engineering Design and Drafting Technology, Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent diploma from an accredited technical college.
  • Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD and Civil 3D is an asset.
  • Strong communication and organization skills.
  • Committed team player.
  • Valid Driver's License.
