We are looking for a Transportation Distribution Planner, Pharma for our Contract Logistics division/office based in Mississauga.

Your Role

The Transportation Planner is accountable for maintaining excellent service levels for our internal and external customers through timely allocation of orders, route planning, carrier rate selection, carrier tendering, auditing for proper consolidations, accurate data entry, troubleshooting roadblocks, continuous process improvement and the prompt resolution of issues.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality customer service for managing Pharma Healthcare transportation solutions
• Review and plan incoming orders every 15 minutes and release shipments
• Review order details within the Transportation Management System and set priority for urgent orders and customer requests
• Handle customer requests and follow up with customers by email and action items related to order flow
• Investigate orders that do not flow as designed by the system and help resolve
• Ensure data integrity and data quality into the Transportation Management System
• Shipment confirmations to ensure all deliveries take place within the transit requirements
• Generate status report for operational team to indicate if targets are met
• Equipment demand plan -work with DC Ops.
• FTL delivery appointment management .
• Support release schedule as defined per site.
• Availability to work periodic overtime and a variety of shifts to meet the requirements of the operation and support flexible work coverage. Including weekend prep
• Compliance to GUI-0069 for Temperature Control of Drug Products during Storage and Transportation.
• Comply with GMP requirements as applicable.

Your Skills and Experiences

• 2+ years experience in warehouse operations and transportation planning
• 2+years experience with transportation management systems (TMS)
• University degree in logistics and supply chain or other related field
