Hatch and Bantrel have formed the Hatch Bantrel Joint Venture (HBJV) to execute engineering and construction on the BHP Jansen Potash Mine Project in Saskatchewan. After successfully completing the Definition Phase Study for the project, the HBJV is currently carrying out the Detailed Engineering Phase for the Processing, Non-Process Infrastructure (NPI) and Mining Areas of the 4.5 Mtpa Stage 1 Potash Mine. With a published TIC of US $5.3-5.7 Billion this will represent one of the largest projects and private investments in Canada. The HBJV will use a hybrid of best-in-class new developing technologies.

The JS1 Common Services Team is responsible for providing all the infrastructure type requirements for project contractors. This includes the management and coordination of project provided travel and accommodation services for all project employees. The Common Services Transportation Coordinator is responsible for the following:

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates on-site and offsite travel requirements for daily, rotational and special event project activities
  • Prepare and submit weekly/monthly transportation reports and metrics
  • Conduct periodic audits
  • The ability run logistics for different contractors
  • Supports contractors with the implementation, training and use of project transportation software and applications
  • Reviews plans and schedules with bussing service provider.
  • Attend weekly operational meetings with the bussing service provider
  • Provide communication updates with schedule and route changes as required
  • Support the projects on site traffic management plan as well as the journey management plan and ensuring maintenance and safety requirements are being followed
  • Carries out a wide range of diverse, sensitive, administrative, operational and technical duties within the Common Services department
  • Interfaces and communicates (written and oral) with all levels of project management, contacts and visitors
  • Dispenses information on travel, answers general inquiries
  • Work with contractor work force administrators to plan and schedule an effective bussing program maximizing utilization
  • Results/goal orientated approach to problem solving
  • Maintains appropriate databases for necessary reporting metrics and provides any necessary technical support to team members
  • Composes correspondence and memoranda as required
  • Troubleshoots and debriefs with department processes to continually improve upon the products, service and support provided
  • As part of the common services team, provide non bussing administration support where required
  • Create, modify and maintain online scheduling/reservation application
  • Provide back up or coverage for shuttle reservations.
  • Support contract management oversight for the off-site bussing services provider
  • Coordinate communication for service delays, alterations, or special requests in the area of; on and off-site bussing.
  • Please note this position is not eligible for a relocation subsidy or living out allowance. This will be a camp position on a 14 day on 7 day off rotation.

Qualifications
  • Diploma in Office/Business Administration or related program or an equivalent combination of education plus experience
  • Minimum 2-4 years of increasingly responsible office administration experience, with construction knowledge supporting management roles
  • Excellent expertise in PC/Word Processing/spreadsheet software (Microsoft Office software with emphasis on Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Needs to be proficient in running tables, VLookup's, and Picot Tables
  • Experience with travel/reservation software or programs
  • Superior organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, manage interruptions in a time sensitive environment
  • Analytical expertise in auditing and editing of all documents/reports/presentations/data to ensure accuracy, organization, standards, etc. are being maintained
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) are essential
  • Exceptional interpersonal, problem solving and listening skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently
  • Ability to work and collaborate with others effectively
