Here you will have the opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team and to build professional expertise as part of our growing Canadian division. Responsibilities: As the Translation Administrator your main responsibility will be to translate marketing materials, corporate communications and sales collateral from English to French and to review French for the marketing and communications teams of two Canadian divisions (Gallagher Global Brokerage and Gallagher Benefit Services). Approximately 60% of time will be spent translating English materials into French, with the balance of time spent reviewing previously translated materials to ensure the French translation is accurate.
How You Will Impact The Business
Adapt marketing and communications materials, slogans, advertising, social media content and other sales collateral that have been translated from English to French.
Support translation requirements of marketing and communications for the Canadian business and ensure the quality and coherence of the French translation.
Review, edit and approve English to French translations provided by other communications team members outside of Canada.
Manage multiple projects and prioritize workflow for maximum efficiency to complete tasks within their allotted deadlines.
Create and maintain a word bank of English and French translations that are specific to the organization, including names of departments, divisions, positions, etc. Coordinate with external translation agencies.
Qualifications: What Makes You Successful
You possess exceptional written and spoken French and English skills with an unparalleled grasp of French grammar, syntax, punctuation and spelling.
Organized and skilled at handling priorities with minimal direction.
Ability to work on tight deadlines with multiple internal clients.
You are detail oriented with a consistent level of high quality and accurate translations and revisions.
Track record of building relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization; able to build trust through a professional attitude, confidence and a strong work ethic. Tech savvy and able to learn different platforms quickly, such as translation management software.
Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree in translation from English to French, must be a member of l\xe2\x80\x99Ordre des traducteurs terminologues et interpr\xc3\xa8tes agr\xc3\xa9\xc3\xa9s du Qu\xc3\xa9bec (OTTIAQ) or other similar association.
5+ of professional experience in translation.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
This role offers the flexibility to work in a hybrid work environment, and can be based out of any one of Gallagher\'s Montreal, Laval, Dieppe and Toronto offices.
