Responsibilities
As Bento continues to expand its commissary and franchise operations, we are seeking a dedicated and hands-on Training Manager to strengthen and align our training systems across all channels. This role plays a vital part in ensuring brand consistency, product quality, and operational efficiency through structured, standardized, and scalable training programs.
The Training Manager will also play an important role in supporting and enhancing onsite training initiatives. The goal of this role is to bridge both Commissary and Onsite training programs to ensure consistency, alignment, and collaboration across all business channels. By doing so, this position will help build a unified training foundation that supports Bento's ongoing growth and operational excellence.
Work directly with the Director of Training & Development and collaborate closely with the Onsite Training Manager to unify and standardize training systems across Onsite and Commissary operations.
Develop and implement a Commissary Training Framework that ensures consistent operational standards, product quality, and compliance to support achieving agreed upon KPIs across all production facilities.
Review and update existing Onsite-based materials to align with franchise business structures and operational scalability.
Support the achievement of company-wide KPIs by enhancing training effectiveness, operational efficiency, and team capability across all channels.
Support the rollout of new products by ensuring operational readiness and training consistency across all business channels.
Support the Innovation Team with training, coordination, and event execution as required.
Contribute to the design and setup of future Innovation Training Center initiatives, including developing in-house trainers and hands-on learning programs that reinforce operational excellence.
Create practical, easy-to-use training resources such as guides, checklists, and micro-learning modules to enhance efficiency and readiness.
Partner cross-functionally with all department to ensure training content reflects current standards in food safety, quality assurance, and production best practices.
Conduct plant and store visits to assess training effectiveness, identify opportunities for improvement, and provide coaching for sustainable performance enhancement.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in food manufacturing, food service, or franchise operations (training and development experience preferred).
Proven ability to plan, design, and deliver effective training in fast-paced operational environments.
Flexibility to accommodate unplanned schedules, short- and long-term travel, and work at various locations as business needs arise.
Ability to work in a hybrid setup, combining remote work and corporate office presence
Ability to work in cold or refrigerated environments when required for training purposes.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills (written and verbal).
Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail and accountability.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with e-learning or video training tools is an asset.
Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-changing environment.
Ability to travel within Canada and the U.S. as needed.
Reliable access to a car and valid driver's license
A positive, collaborative attitude and an eagerness to learn, grow, and take initiative.
