JOB SUMMARY

Strives to achieve sales targets, within his/her territory (Eastern Canada including Atlantic Provinces, Quebec and Ontario), as part of the Sales Organization. Maintains and enhances the Company image to customer base. Actively and pro-actively promotes company goals and objectives, and executes sales plans stemming from pre-established Marketing programs.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

REQUIRED

  • Minimum 3 years of demonstrated success in Lab & Research and/or Industrial markets;
  • Track record of demonstrable sales growth and quota attainment;
  • Ability to present multiple product lines to multiple decision-makers;
  • Track record of developing strong relationships with key decision makers;
  • Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills;
  • Comfortable with Technology - Specifically tools like PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams and Salesforce
  • Daily travel with potentially some overnight travel to interact with customers on site is required.
ASSET
  • Experience in the PPE market, Experience working with distribution partners (Fisher Scientific/VWR)
EXPERIENCE

REQUIRED
  • 3+ years of sales experience in the Lab & Research and Industrial markets
ASSET
  • 5+ years of sales experience working with distribution and are established with our existing distribution partners
EDUCATION & TRAINING

REQUIRED
  • University Degree
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Strives to achieve sales targets, within his/her territory or portfolio, as part of the Sales Organization. Maintains and enhances the Company image to customer base. Actively and pro-actively promotes company goals and objectives, and executes sales plans stemming from pre-established Marketing programs. Projects a positive image of the company within the industry;
  • Manages sales quotas within a predetermined expense budget;
  • Implements pre-established Marketing Programs;
  • Pro-actively communicates all competitive information;
  • Develops Customer Plans and makes recommendations to management;
  • Maintains adequate records on sales opportunities and programs;
  • Networks throughout the supply chain with distribution partners.
  • Solid understanding of relationships between Medicom, distribution partners, and end user customers
  • Primary sales contact with distribution partners within the territory of responsibility
  • Responds to customer concerns regarding products, backorders, billing;
  • Pro-actively refreshes personal level of product knowledge;
  • Participates in Trade Shows, Customer Events and Sales Meetings;
  • Develop and recommend improved systems and procedures to meet customer needs;
  • Visit customers on-site, when warranted to meet customer expectations.
  • Depending on Territory may be required to travel extensively with their personal vehicle, expense of which will be reimbursed.
  • Required to maintain a fully functional home office.
