PEMBINA CURLING CLUB



TERM MANAGER POSITION
Employment Term: Full-Time, February 1, 2026 - September 30, 2027

Position Summary:



Pembina Curling Club is looking for a professional, approachable and member-focused individual to cover a term Club Manager position. We expect applicants to be flexible in their availability to work evenings/weekends as needed for membership or other events the club may be hosting (example: bonspiels, rentals, etc.).

The Club Manager oversees the daily operations of the club, ensuring an excellent member experience, efficient staff performance, and adherence to operational standards. This role is responsible for managing personnel, maintaining facilities, driving membership growth, and fostering a positive, welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:



Operations Management

Supervise daily club operations to ensure a clean, safe, and well-maintained facility. Ongoing and timely coordination with membership, current and future vendors, sponsors, Curl MB, and any other correspondence as required. Implement current operational policies and procedures. Monitor inventory, supplies, and equipment, coordinating maintenance and repairs as needed. Ensure compliance with safety, health, and regulatory requirements. In coordination with head bartender, administer all tasks associated to bar operations including hiring, scheduling, payroll, liquor inventory and purchases. Coordination with kitchen staff for appropriate operations and coordination of events requiring catering. Attending events hosted by Pembina Curling Club. Working in conjunction with the Board/Executive. Other duties as assigned by the Board/Executive.
Financial Management

Creating and managing budgets, expenses, and financial reporting. Includes: banking, money and fees collection, and paying bills. All matters concerning employee payroll.

Skills & Qualifications



Strong leadership and interpersonal skills

Excellent organization and multitasking abilities.

High standards of customer service.

Knowledge of business management, budgeting and scheduling.

Ability to problem-solve and make sound decisions under pressure.

Proficiency with Apple Pay systems, QuickBooks, Microsoft Office and other applications.

Previous experience in hospitality, recreation, financial and/or facility management is an asset.

Wage: hourly - based on education, skill and work experience.

All applicants must be available for 1 month of training starting February 1, 2026.

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 20 months

Pay: $39,750.00-$46,375.00 per year

Work Location: In person
