The Opportunity
We are searching for a
Golf Club Manager
to be the central leader for all our clubhouse and golf operations.
You will be responsible for the entire member and guest experience, overseeing the Pro Shop, golf operations, member services, and our in-house clubhouse (food and beverage) division. Working closely with a dedicated Grounds Superintendent and Kitchen Manager to achieve this goal.
We are looking for a "manager-first"--someone with great leadership and business skills. You don't need to be a PGA of Canada Golf Professional (though that's a bonus!), but you do need to be a fantastic manager and a great host for our members and guests.
Key Responsibilities
Your role will be to manage the big picture and lead the team:
1. Leadership & Operations Management
Recruit, hire, train, and lead all club staff (Pro Shop, Member Services, F&B, and On-Course staff).
Be the "face of the club," promoting a professional and friendly image for members, guests, and the wider community.
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Pro Shop, including smart procurement (buying) and inventory control.
Provide
oversight
for the in-house Food & Beverage division, coordinating with staff to ensure quality, service, and financial performance.
Implement, enforce, and maintain all club policies.
2. Golf & Event Coordination
Organize, schedule, and manage all Club events, leagues, instructional programs, and tournaments.
Ensure the driving range and practice facilities are well-managed.
3. Business & Financial Administration
Work closely with the Board's Treasurer and the club's bookkeeper on all financial matters.
Assist in preparing the annual operations budget and provide clear, simple monthly reports to the Board.
Manage (or hire out) the club's social media and marketing efforts.
Attend and assist with various Club committee meetings as required.
What You Bring (Qualifications)
Required:
Prior experience managing a golf course or a similar hospitality/recreational facility.
Strongly Preferred:
Demonstrated experience in overseeinga Food & Beverage (F&B) operation.
Exceptional customer service and "people" skills.
Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to hire, train, and motivate a team.
A "get-it-done" attitude--we're looking for someone who takes initiative to make improvements.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong computer skills. Experience with Word, Excel, POS systems, GolfNow, and QuickBooks is a major asset.
